Based on Gadigal Land Oliver Ashby crafts Independent Alt Country Folk Rock with one simple philosophy: it's all about the song. Stripping away the excess, he delivers honest storytelling wrapped in gritty guitar and raw authenticity.

With a career spent shaping sounds as a session guitarist for GRXCE, Scatter Light, Milly McPherson, Belvedeer, and Club Halifax, plus time fronting Harlequin Alley and New June, Ollie has cut his teeth on countless Aussie stages (The Metro Theatre, The Factory Theatre, Liberty Hall, Crowbar, Hoey Moey). Now flying solo, and joined on stage by drummer Cameron Browning (Club Halifax) and Samuel Killick (Prog Dylan) Oliver brings that same commitment to craft, writing songs that feel lived-in from the first note.

Oliver Ashby's new upcoming EP 'Who We Were' takes a slight turn from his previous releases 'Old Friend' and 'Do We Remember Where', pairing songs back to embrace a more organic approach, swapping heavier production for the intimacy of natural instrumentation and unvarnished songwriting.
